What is Soulmate?: Think of Soulmate like the messages app on your phone, with a little magic built in: your matchmaker introduces people who might fit into your life. Some could be friends, and some could be dates. You decide who you want to meet, and the more you talk with your matchmaker, the better Soulmate can understand who might feel right for you.
What is my aura, and where can I find it?: Your aura is a short reflection of what Soulmate has learned about you from your conversations. Open your profile from Home to see it. After your first call, it may still be taking shape; parts can appear or update as you keep talking.
How do I get started?: Complete the short setup, choose Soulmate’s voice, and start the first voice conversation. Soulmate will briefly explain how the experience works before you begin talking.
Is Soulmate one conversation or several separate conversations?: It is one ongoing conversation. You can leave and come back later, pick up where you left off, or change subjects whenever you want. To talk with your matchmaker again at any time, tap the microphone button at the bottom of the home screen.
Can I use both voice and text?: Conversations with your Soulmate matchmaker are voice-only right now. Text conversations with Soulmate are not currently available.
What can I talk about?: Talk about everyday life, interests, routines, values, and what matters to you in a friendship or relationship. You can be playful, change subjects, or let Soulmate get things started. Soulmate does not offer dating advice, make relationship decisions, write messages, or discuss an individual match. What you share in any conversation may inform selected insights shown to matches, so share only what you are comfortable having reflected in an introduction.
Is Soulmate therapy or a crisis service?: No. Soulmate is a virtual matchmaker, not a therapist or crisis service. You do not need to hide a difficult feeling, but Soulmate cannot provide treatment or emergency intervention. If you need urgent support, reach out to a trusted person and qualified human help. If you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services now. In the US, you can also call or text 988 for crisis support.
Why does Soulmate ask me questions?: Talking helps Soulmate understand what matters to you and what kinds of connections may fit your life. You can always change the subject or say you do not want to discuss something.
How does matching work?: Soulmate uses what it learns about you to look for people who may be a meaningful fit for dating or friendship. Compatibility is considered as a whole, and Soulmate does not expose private scores, rankings, or details about other users.
When does matching begin?: Matching begins automatically once Soulmate has enough understanding to start looking. You do not need to complete a visible checklist or manually start a search.
How long will it take to get a match?: There is no set timeline. First you get an introduction, which could take a day, a week, or longer; those are possibilities, not a promise. It becomes a match only if you both accept, and Soulmate cannot predict when or whether that will happen.
Why am I not getting matches?: A match happens only when both people accept an introduction. If you have not received an introduction, Soulmate can check whether matching is active and whether your profile, photos, or settings need attention. If you already accepted someone, Soulmate cannot see their choice or predict whether they will accept. More conversation can help Soulmate understand you, but it does not speed up or guarantee a match.
Do I need to keep checking the app?: If notifications are enabled, the app can let you know when an introduction is ready or Soulmate wants to continue the conversation. You can also check the app at any time.
What can a match see from my Soulmate conversation?: What you share in any Soulmate conversation may inform a few selected insights shown to matches about meaningful things you have in common. Matches do not receive your voice recordings, full transcripts, exact messages, or everything Soulmate has learned about you. Share only what you are comfortable having reflected in an introduction.
Can matches see my name, age, photos, or where I live?: Yes. An introduction shows your display name and profile photos, plus the profile basics you have provided: gender, age, and your displayed location. Height is shown for date or open matches when provided, not for friend-only matches. It also identifies whether the introduction is for dates, friendship, or both. These profile basics are separate from selected conversation insights. Your displayed location is a profile label, not a live location tracker. After onboarding, you can review your profile basics and photos from your profile on the home screen, but this is not an exact preview of every introduction or insight a particular match will see.
Can I have an off-the-record conversation?: There is no separate private conversation mode or per-message sharing switch. Selected insights may draw on any conversation; this does not mean everything you say is shared. Matches do not receive your recordings, full transcripts, or exact messages. You can skip a topic, change the subject, or stop whenever you want.
Are my voice recordings shared with matches?: No. Voice recordings are never shared with matches.
Can Soulmate forget one message or fact?: Selective deletion is not available right now. Settings includes Start Over with Soulmate, but that is a significant, permanent reset of your entire Soulmate conversation history, recordings, private memory, and future matching insights learned from it—not just one detail. It keeps your account, human chats, existing matches, photos, profile basics, and preferences.
Can Soulmate search for a particular physical appearance?: Soulmate cannot run an on-demand search for a particular look or guarantee specific physical traits. After a Like or Pass, you can say whether personal appeal influenced the decision. That feedback helps Soulmate better understand your preferences and improve future matching while still considering compatibility as a whole.
Can I change my matching preferences?: Yes. In Settings you can update photos and all visible matching preferences. By voice, Soulmate can change one visible matching filter at a time after reading the current value and getting explicit confirmation of the exact change: Dates or Friends on/off, their Open to genders, Date age range, Date or Friends distance, and whether that distance is a dealbreaker. Other profile and account settings must be changed in the app.
What happens when I receive an introduction?: You can review the introduction and choose Like or Pass. Introductions are temporary; they become matches only when both people accept. If you accept one, it disappears. If the other person accepts too, it shows up in Chats as a match. Soulmate cannot see their response.

Can I talk to Soulmate about a match I did not like?: Soulmate does not discuss or assess an individual match, including whether you should have liked or passed. You can still return to your ongoing conversation about everyday life whenever you want.
Can Soulmate give dating advice or help me write a message?: Not yet. Soulmate does not give dating advice, decide what you should do in a relationship, or draft messages. You can talk about your life and what matters to you, but Soulmate cannot advise you about an individual match.
What does Soulmate remember about me?: Ask Soulmate and it can give a grounded summary of information learned from your conversations. It will say when it does not remember much yet; the summary is not a personality verdict.
Am I talking to a real person?: No. Soulmate is a virtual matchmaker designed to have natural voice conversations, answer product questions, and help the app understand what kinds of connections may fit.
Is Soulmate free, or is there a subscription?: Talking with Soulmate is free. Some match actions may eventually require a membership depending on your access, and the app will show that clearly before any purchase.
